On 9 May 2019 we will organise an AI-explore session as a follow-up to our Food4Thought event on 'The impact of Artificial Intelligence on procurement'.
During the workshop, together with Heroes, we will jointly investigate whether and how the Virtual Procurement Assistent can be deployed and what insights and benefits this can bring to you.

Together with Bert Kruisdijk, Procurement director Isala Hospital, we argued in a knowledge session at our office on 16 April 2019 what benefits the deployment of a fully integrated P2P software package can offer (regardless of which supplier delivers this software), taking into account the current ERP system. It was a closed session with 12 procurement managers from hospitals/ care groups so that there were strong substantive discussions.
On March 28 we again organised our yearly Food4Thought event, a small-scale theme dinner with a specific topic in digitisation and procurement. This year the dinner took place in Kasteel Maurick, Vught.
This year's theme was: 'The impact of Artificial Intelligence on procurement'.
Together with Young Procurement Professionals (YPP) we organised a masterclass "Blockchain for young procurement professionals" on March 19th 2019. Here, we discussed the impact of Blockchain technology on procurement processes and the role of procurement professionals.
On 7 and 8 February 2019 we held a joint session with the Isala Hospital at the NEVI Healthcare Congress with the theme 'Digital Transformation Roadmap - Procurement in healthcare'.

Dutch companies and government organizations loose millions of euros because of poor use of procurement software opportunities
April 20, 2017 - According to Qando's consultants, the use of procurement software can still improve a lot, especially through the use of adequate data, the integration between systems and the cooperation with suppliers. Achraf Talhaoui, managing partner at Qando, says that savings of at least 10% is possible for all procurement expenses for companies in the sectors industry, healthcare and financial but also within (semi) governmental organizations and public-sector organizations, when they pay more attention to a better use of procurement software.
The procurement agency Qando has announced the results of its annual procurement software research in the Dutch market. The impact of using procurement software on the procurement performance of organisations included in the research is significantly high; however, the adoption of procurement software, consisting of multiple procurement modules, is limited.
The adoption of 'stand alone' procurement modules is increasing, especially the modules Purchase-2-Pay and E-sourcing are showing high growth rates: respectively 14% and 18%. However, it is remarkable that only a slight increase in the integration between the procurement modules can be observed while integration of modules ensures a better procurement performance. Respondents with more than five integrated modules report a 31% better performance than respondents with the same number of modules but less integrations.
The results of the research were published on April 7 in the Dutch Deal! Magazine. The full research can also be obtained from Qando directly.
