Does Artificial Intelligence (AI) mean the end of procurement as we know it? Will AI really boost procurement towards a strategic role within the company? Or is AI replacing contractmanagement? Will AI make procurement processes more efficient or more effective? Food for thought...
On March 28th Qando is hosting the yearly Food4Thought-dinner. In this exclusive session we will explain what AI is, the opportunities for procurement professionals like yourself and the possible impact of AI on procurement processes and teams. Furthermore, we will present specific use cases for applying AI in procurement.
Although the technology is not new - one can think of spend data classification (since 1998) - AI will be used in more and more purchasing processes in the upcoming two years. We already see examples like AI-support for sourcing events, help with contract negotiation, verifying transactions and processing invoices.
Due to these technological developments, procurement professionals are becoming increasingly aware that their role is changing. Is this a threat or an opportunity? Our goal is to explain the concept of AI to you in clear, down-to-earth language and we will set out the impact of AI in daily procurement processes.
After the session, we will hand out the Artificial Intelligence for procurement-reader so you can read through all information once again in your own time.

Very good pick of location and format, really enjoyed it! I hope that Vodafone’s supply chain journey has also fuelled some good thinking and has inspired the audience to challenge the status quo.
